  2. IMPORTANT - This program locks the screen do not use CTRL-ESC or ALT-ESC
  3. while you are running it. Always exit with ESCAPE or CTRL-BREAK.

  6. (may take up to 20 seconds to exit)

  9. There should be 3 programs contained within this archive which were all 
  10. compressed using the excellent LXLITE software (v1.15):
  11.  
  12. STARS.EXE Requires EMX 0.9a
  13.  
  14. A starfield Demo using mode-x in OS/2 Fullscreen. Can be controlled with
  15. the keyboard. This starfield is viewed from the side (hard to describe - try
  16. it).

  18. STARSZ.EXE Requires EMX 0.9c
  19.  
  20. A starfield Demo using Mode-X in OS/2 Fullscreen. Also controlled by keyboard.
  21. In this version you fly through the starfield (ie bog standard starfield)
  22. This only requires 0.9c because i compiled it more recently using the new
  23. release of EMX - theres no 'new' functions I needed EMX0.9c for.

  25. TGOSM2.EXE Requires EMX 0.9a
  26.  
  27. This is a virtual screen demo of mode-X in Os/2 Fullscreen. It can be panned
  28. with the cursor keys.

  32. This is my first attempt at coding some serious graphics stuff for OS/2. I
  33. may attempt to write an Asteroids style game, and possible a platform 
  34. scroller in the genre of Sonic(tm) et al. Also if there are enough requests
  35. a screensaver version of the starfield may be on the cards.

  37. At the time of releasing these binaries I have only been writing C for about
  38. 2 months. I taught myself the basics in July 1996 and as yet haven't bought
  39. any books on C (due to lack of funds :). Thanks to GNU people who do all that
  40. kinda stuff.
